Yorinuki Gintama-san
Yorinuki Gintama-san (よりぬき銀魂さん), also known as The Best of Gintama is the name of the Gintama reruns which first aired from April 2010 to April 2011, between seasons 4 and 5 when the broadcast went on break for one year.
The term Yorinuki translates to "best selection" and is a common prefix for such programs. The addition of the honorific -san and the colors of the logo makes the title a direct parody of the popular family show Sazae-san, which also had its own reruns in the past.
In addition to brand new openings and endings, promotional bonuses for the movie aired at the end of each episode until the movie's theatrical release. The first opening and ending were themes used in the actual movie.
The existence of the reruns was hinted at by a joke told in an episode during the original broadcast.
